Homage To Vienna

The "Homage To Vienna" series was inspired by the consummate courage and craftsmanship
of the Viennese secessionist movement represented by KLIMPT, SCHIELE, and KOKOSCHKA.

Rejecting the puritanical moralists of the 1900's, the Secessionists made their artistic statement
despite distain from the short-sighted public of their time.

WITHOUT THE EXPRESSION OF NEW IDEAS, A SOCIETY CEASES TO GROW.

"I was moved both emotionally and intellectually by the artists of that period. Influenced by their marvelous skill and eroticism,
I have tried in my own way to portray visually, the "private attitudes" of all humanity.
We are all part of the human experience. We are all alike in our humanity, and there is no need for shame and embarrassment."
