STECKLER SEMINARS
The Seminar page is Len Stecklers personal space in his studio.
It is here that Mr. Steckler explains his views on ART in todays world,
and how the "Arts" help us to understand our world, just as it did for our ancestors.
Poetry Inspired By Art
Recently, I came upon a BBC website called "BLAST."
It promotes creative expression in ART, DANCE, FILM,
MUSIC, and WRITING.
Recently, a poem called "Head In My Hands" was published on this website.
You can imagine my surprise when I learned that its author
Charles had been inspired to write this poem
after viewing my "Marginal People" series.
This is another example of the power of Art to inspire,
the power of the Intellect to create from that inspiration,
and the power of the Internet to bring us
all together on a creative Artistic level.
It is with great pleasure and the utmost respect for the author,
that I include a copy of this beautiful poem on my website as this month's STECKLER SEMINAR.
"HEAD In MY HANDS"
Head in my hands, nearing the end,
Trying to find a faithful friend,
Often asking the question why?
Why live when I am happy to die?
Head in my hands on a rickety chair,
All around agitated air.
Like a smashed mirror shatters on the floor,
I just want companionship, nothing more.
Head in my hands with little left in the world,
Because I'm homeless insults are hurled,
As though I have no pride left inside,
They stab their knives in my side.
Head in my hands, desolation and despair,
This is a cross I alone must bear,
Please! Please! Please tell me when,
I can take my head out of my hands. Amen.

"I wrote this after looking at the work of Len Steckler and my interest with my topics."
Steckler's seminars will include audio, video, and other multi-media opportunities.
We invite you to visit the seminar room often, as we intend to vary seminars on a regular basis.
